Dandenong's Kim Garth scored 113 but it was not enough as EMP took home the 'Redderz Cup

Warm conditions greeted players for Round 6 of the Victorian Premier Cricket Women's competition today, leading to some strong performances by individuals and teams alike.

The 'Redderz Cup' battle between Dandenong and EMP at Shepley Oval saw the Bombers come away with the trophy after a 36-run win. The Bombers score of 5/263 being just too much for the Panthers, despite the efforts of reigning Paisley medalist Kim Garth (113) and state rep Nicole Faltum (43). For the winners, it was the strength of their State and Internationals in Elyse Villani (69), Molly Strano (55*), Makinley Blows (44) and Briana Binch (44) with the willow being the difference.

Melbourne accounted for Ringwood by 8 wickets at Russell Lucas Oval with Dees skipper Teagan Parker (52*), Ella Hayward (36*), Amy Vine (31) and Steph Townsend (3-32 in her 100th Premier 1st XI appearance) leading the charge. For the Rams, Una Raymond-Hoey (54) was the main shining light.

At Toorak Park, Plenty Valley secured their second win of the season with a 50-run win over Prahran. For the winners, Sophie Day (79), Sophie Reid (38), Simran Gandhi (3/21) and Meagan Ciavarella (3/27) played their parts. For the True Blues, their key players were ex-Dandenong and Vic State rep Courtney Neale (5/33 and 26), skipper Annabel Sutherland (26 & 3/33), Rhys McKenna (27) and Lauren Innes (25) tried hard.

In the final game at Princes Park #1, Box Hill accounted for Carlton-Brunswick by 7 wickets. The star of the game for the Mustangs was Zoe Griffiths (28 & 5/7) while new CV 200 Club inductee Dani Montague finished with 1/10 off 6 overs. Anna Lanning (23) also made a welcome return for the visitors, while the hosts were best served by Nipuni Hansika (16) and Ella Baulch (16) in an otherwise forgetful day.
