EMP's Nat Schilov batted well for 79, but it wasn't enough as Plenty Valley came away with the points on Saturday.

Round 2 of Women's Premier Cricket again saw some standout performances, whilst some players began to filter back from the WBBL..

On Saturday, Plenty Valley took the points over EMP with Sophie Reid (85), Kiara Jones (31), Jane Riley (3/34) and Grace Jones (29 + 2/23) all starring for the Bats. For the Bombers, Nat Schilov (79), Madeline Jones (3/53) and Chloe Rafferty (27 + 3/26) tried hard.

On Sunday, Dandenong defeated Prahran thanks to an all-round performance with the ball and strong batting from Panthers Tiana Atkinson (70), Kelly Applebee (47) and Jess Matin (43 + 2/27). For the True Blues, Erica Kershaw (94) was unlucky to miss her century, while Ellen Williams (2/17) bowled well.

Melbourne held on against Box Hill in a weather-impacted game. The Demons were best led by Rhiann O'Donnell (97) who also was unlucky to not bring up 3 figures, Steph Townsend (37) and Amy Yates (3/29), while the Mustangs were best led by Jasmine Fleming (26 + 3/40) and Tahlia Meier (36).

Ringwood came away with the points against Carlton-Brunswick, with new recruit Laura Shaw (53*), skipper Una Raymond-Hoey (48) and Erin Carroll (4/26) leading the Rams to victory in a game reduced to 35 overs each. The best for the Strikers were Katia Jomini (2/14) and skipper Addy Campion (2/21).

Finally, congratulations to Melbourne's Alana D'Aquino, who scored the first century (115 off 99 balls) in the newly formed Women's Premier Thirds competition. This knock enabled the Demons to defeat Box Hill in that game.
