The rain wreaks havoc
Date of Event Victorian Premier Cricket: Sat Feb 1, 2020 7:24PM
Kaushal Silva scored an unbeaten 94 for the Kangaroos today

Heavy rain across the State played havoc with Victorian Premier Cricket today. The two results attained last week were the only two for the round, which saw all nine matches commence, but varied from 52.2 overs at Greenvale to just two balls at Casey Fields.

The two wins were particularly useful for Footscray, which jumped into third spot on the ladder, and Dandenong, which is now back within touch of the eight.

Greenvale Kangaroos, led by Kaushal Silva (94*) averted a further disaster today after being rolled for just 49 by Dandenong last week. James Nanopoulos finished with the match figures of 11/72, not adding to his wicket tally today.

The other result was Footscray's win over Melbourne, with just 11.2 overs possible today. The Doggies declared on 9/187, a lead of 78. The Demons were 0/13 in their second innings when the heavens opened.
