Dandy wins a thriller
Date of Event Victorian Premier Cricket: Sun Feb 16, 2020 7:55PM
Kimberley Garth had another outstanding game for Dandenong

The Premier Women's Firsts finalists appear almost settled with two rounds remaining. Despite a washout yesterday, Essendon Maribyrnong Park and Prahran are assured of semi finals, Box Hill and Plenty Valley look likely to finish third and fourth.

Carlton-Brunswick inflicted a 35-run defeat on Melbourne at the Albert Ground, with skipper Adelaide Campion (31 & 6/38) and Eve Sheehan (47) the stars for the Strikers.

Dandenong lifted itself off the bottom with a gutsy win over Box Hill at Shepley Oval. Rebecca Carter (102) continued her stellar form for the Mustangs, having now scored 604 runs at 86.29 in the One-Dayers and 915 at 50.83 in all formats. Dandenong's main contributors were Nicole Faltum (53), Jessica Matin (50), Kimberley Garth (49 & 3/42) and Maryam Omar (49), while Zoe Griffiths (61 & 3/34) had a fine all-round match for Box Hill.

Plenty Valley maintained fourth spot on the ladder with a good win over Ringwood. Grace Jones (5/17) and Sophie Reid (32) led the way, but the consistent Bhavisha Devchand (41 & 3/27) was again outstanding for the Rams.
