The weekend saw a total of 33 debutants in Victorian Premier Cricket across the Men's and Women's competitions.

22 Men and 11 Women played for the first time. Ex-Sri Lankan Test spinner Saraj Randiv was the oldest at 34, Melbourne's Fergus O'Neill and Prahran's Irish import Gaby Lewis are the equal youngest at 18.

It was an unforgettable debut by Melbourne Uni's Akon Mawien, who took 1/35 from his ten overs against Dandenong, then followed up by hitting the winning runs (3*) batting at number eleven amidst great tension at Shepley Oval.

Congratulations to all debutants! We also acknowledge the contribution of their original clubs with their coaching and development.
