Semi Finals

QUARTER FINALS

Quarter Finals weekend was a disaster for teams finishing fifth to eighth. With the weather playing a major part, only three matches started on Saturday and five didn't get a start on either day, such was the damage caused by the heavy rains. There were just four results achieved out of the sixteen Quarter Finals
matches and only one of these teams (Carlton 2nds) came from the bottom half of the eight.

PRAHRAN won a thrilling match against STKILDA at Toorak Park, while the top two sides, RINGWOOD and FITZROY DONCASTER, each held on against  MELBOURNE and GEELONG respectively to progress to the second weekend of finals action.

SEMI FINALS

Not only is there a Premier Final berth at stake, but both Semi Finals matches will be played for important trophies. The Don Mathieson Trophy is up for grabs in the RINGWOOD v PRAHRAN clash at Jubilee Park, whilst the John Scholes Trophy will be held by the winner of the FITZROY DONCASTER v CARLTON match at Schramms Reserve.

Both trophies honour the wonderful contributions of two very fine players, coaches and great cricket people.
