Rule 9 - Club Provident Funds & Testimonials
| 9.1 | PROVIDENT FUND OR RETIREMENT SCHEME |
| 9.1.1 | Clubs may introduce provident funds or retirement schemes subject to the basic conditions in 9.1.2 to 9.1.6 inclusive. |
| 9.1.2 | No player shall have a legal entitlement to any part of such Fund or Schemes. |
| 9.1.3 | A player shall play a minimum of 50 premiership and/or CV Knockout matches before he is entitled to qualify under any such fund or scheme. At the club's option these may be played in any or all of its elevens. |
| 9.1.4 | No payment shall be made to any player before the expiration of at least one year from the date of his retirement from CV Premier Cricket. This condition may be waived with the prior approval of the CV Board. |
| 9.1.5 | A copy of the provisions of any such fund or scheme plus amendments introduced from time to time shall be registered with and approved by the CV Board. |
| 9.1.6 | An annual return shall be submitted to the CV Board detailing payments made from such fund or scheme. |
| 9.2 | PLAYER TESTIMONIALS |
| 9.2.1 | Clubs may establish and conduct testimonials in recognition of the service given to the clubs by particular players. |
| 9.2.2 | Should a player nominated to receive a testimonial still be participating in the CV Premier Cricket competition and not be registered as a professional player under the terms of Rule 8 the following conditions shall apply. (a) The player shall have played a minimum of fifteen seasons or shall have played more than 200 CV First Eleven matches or as otherwise determined by the Board before he is entitled to receive a testimonial. (b) No payment shall be made to the player before the expiry of at least one year from his retirement from the CV Premier Cricket competition. This condition may be waived with the prior approval of the CV Board. (c) The club must advise the CV Board of any payment made directly or indirectly to the player in relation to the testimonial. |
| 9.2.3 | Applications to conduct testimonials are to be submitted to and approved by the CV Board. |
| 9.2.4 | Such an application must detail the qualification of the player for a testimonial, the period over which the testimonial will run and an outline of the form the testimonial will take. |
