Rule 5 - Programs For Finals Rounds

5.1 

ONE-DAY COMPETITION
(a) Semi Finals: At the conclusion of the one-day home and away matches the teams finishing first to fourth as per Rule 4.3.1 shall play semi-finals as follows: 1 v 4, 2 v 3. Should there be a tie, a draw or abandonment without play, the higher-ranked team at the conclusion of the preliminary matches shall be declared the winner.
(b) Final: The two semi-final winners will play off in the Final. Should there be a tie, a draw or abandonment without play, the higher- ranked team at the conclusion of the semi-finals shall be declared the winner.

5.2

CRICKET VICTORIA SHIELD
Cricket Victoria Shield
All Cricket Victoria Shield Finals matches shall be played under Rule 20.
(a) Quarter Finals: At the conclusion of the home and away matches the teams finishing first to eighth as per Rule 4.2.1 shall play quarter- finals as follows: 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5. Should there be a tie, a draw or abandonment without play, the higher ranked team in the preliminary matches shall be declared the winner.
(b) Semi Finals The quarter-finals winners shall play in semi-finals as follows: 1 v 4, 2 v 3. Should there be a tie, a draw or abandonment without play, the team ranked higher at the conclusion of the quarter- finals shall be declared the winner.
(c) Final: The semi-final winners shall play in the final. Should there be a tie, a draw or abandonment without play, the higher ranked team at the conclusion of the semi-finals shall be declared the winner.

5.3

PREMIER WOMEN'S FINALS

5.3.1 

Semi-finals
At the conclusion of the home and away matches the semi-finals will be played as follows: 1 v 4, 2 v 3.
Premier Women's Firsts shall play according to Rule 20.
Premier Women's Seconds shall play according to Rule 18, however if no play takes place on the first day of the weekend of the semi-final match, play shall be rescheduled for the following day.
In any match should there be a tie, a draw or abandonment without play, the higher-ranked team shall be declared the winner.

5.3.2





Finals
The two Semi-final winners will then play in the Final.
Premier Women's Firsts shall play according to Rule 20. The match shall be over two playing days with two scheduled reserve playing days if required.
Premier Women's Seconds shall play according to Rule 18 as the best of three match series of one day matches with one scheduled reserve playing day if required.
At any time during the finals series where there is a clear winner no further matches shall take place.Should the result of the final match or series be a tie, the Premiership shall be shared.
Should the result of the final match or series be a draw or abandoned without play the higher ranked team shall be declared the winner.

5.4
FINALS VENUES
Venues for all finals matches shall be determined by the Pennant Committee.
5.5

PRESENTATION TO PREMIERSHIP WINNERS
A pennant and/or shield shall be presented to each winning club. Each winning club shall receive a maximum of fifteen medals or badges for distribution to players and such others as deemed appropriate.
