Milestones

Congratulations to the following players, umpires and scorers who have achieved, or are about to achieve, notable milestones:

Round 8
Melbourne's Andrew Kent passed 5000 Premier 1st XI runs during his second innings century against Prahran. It was also Andrew's 150th match for the Demons.

Round 10
Richmond paceman Justin Jaensch played his 50th Premier 1st XI match in the country round match at Wonthaggi.

Ringwood's Matthew Gale took his 150th wicket at Horsham.

St Kilda spinner Michael Beer took his 100th wicket at Wangaratta.

Essendon's Aaron Mato passed 2000 Premier 1st XI runs during his 40 against Prahran at Warrnambool. Prahran's Shane Jones passed 1000 Premier 1st XI runs during his 28 in the same match.

Umpire Chris Allan's 100th Premier 1st XI match was the Hawks v Cats clash at Maryborough.

Round 11
Prahran paceman Paul Sealey and Ringwood leg-spinner Daniel King each played their 50th Premier 1st XI matches.

Footscray Edgewater scorer Shaun Rodgers officiated in his 400th Premier 1st XI match.

Umpires David Jones (150th Premier match) and George Vajda (100th Premier match) both officiated in those milestone games.

Round 12
Richmond paceman Andrew Fekete and Ringwood all-rounder Michael King are due to play their 50th Premier 1st XI match.

Umpire Geoff Joshua is due to officiate in his 200th Premier match since joining the CV Panel in 1995/96.

Round 13
Fitzroy Doncaster's Peter Dickson will hopefully have returned from a side injury to play his 100th Premier 1st XI match. Peter, who debuted in 2000/01, played 52 matches for the Demons before crossing to the Lions prior to the 2005/06 season.

Essendon's Ben Fletcher is also due to play his 100th Premier 1st XI match for the Bombers.

Carlton skipper Tim Welsford is due to play his 150th Premier 1st XI match. Tim debuted for Northcote in 1998/99 and played 99 matches for the Dragons before crossing to Carlton prior to the 2005/06 season.

Umpire Peter Smith is due to officiate in his 250th Premier match since joining the CV Panel in 1991/92.

Legendary Dragons' scorer Shane Herbert is due to score his 300th Premier 1st XI match.

Uni scorer Dorothy Bugg is due to officiate in her 50th 1st XI match.
