 David Harris

Harris began his District career for the Tigers in 1984/85, joining the club from St Joseph's CC in Geelong. The season of his debut saw Harris top both the VCA 1st XI (267 runs @ 89.66) and 2nd XI (463 runs @ 77.16) batting averages - a unique feat. Harris scored 12 centuries and 49 half-centuries with a highest score of 239 for Richmond v Carlton in 1992/93. Only nine players in history have scored more than Harris' 8,881 runs @ 34.42 in District/Premier Cricket. He played 6 first class matches for the Bushrangers between 1990 and 1994, his 90 on debut against Queensland at the MCG remained his highest score.
