Callen Ian Wayne
| ![]() | ||||||||||||||
A tall right-arm quick, at first class level Callen never quite recaptured his outstanding form displayed in his debut season of 31 wickets in just six matches in 1976/77. The following season he played his sole Test, bowling 55 eight-ball overs at Adelaide against India. Injuries restricted his chances, but he was good enough to tour the West Indies in 1978 and Pakistan in 1982/83. At VCA level, Callen was a fine competitor and a member of Carlton's 1980/81 and Northcote's 1986/87 premiership teams. Callen became the villain of the piece in the latter Final by "mankadding" Collingwood's David Emerson. | |||||||||||||||
