After seven seasons with Frankston Peninsula, Bryce McGain crossed to Prahran for the 2000-01 season and gave the True Blues great service for the next seventeen years. A right-arm leg-spinner and useful bat, he finished his Premier career with 533 wickets at 22.23, with best figures of 6/6 for Prahran against the Hawks at Toorak Park in 2006-07.
McGain played 27 first class matches for Victoria, taking 86 wickets at 34.86, and was a member of the Sheffield Shield winning team in 2009-10, taking 2/29 and 4/70 against Queensland in the Final at St Kilda. Following his best first class season in 2007-08, taking 38 wickets, McGain was selected for a Test in Cape Town in March 2009, but this proved to be his only Test.
McGain also played for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League, as well as playing in Denmark, England, India and South Africa.
