A fine keeper-batsman for the Bombers and Kangaroos between 1985 and 1999, John Shannon scored 10 centuries and snared 420 victims over a 15-season career. He was the leading wicketkeeper in CV Premier Cricket in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98. His tally of 46 dismissals (32 ct/14 st) in 1996-97 remains an Essendon club record.
Although Shannon played several matches for Victorian Second XI, he was unfortunate that much of his career coincided with Darren Berry's. BattingInnings | N.O. | Runs | Batting Avg | High Score | 50s | 100s |
