A wonderfully consistent right-hander for the Demons, Andrew Kent sits sixth on the all-time Premier runscorers' list behind Ayres, Watts, Scholes, Ryder and McAlister. No player has scored more runs without an opportunity at first class level. He twice headed the Premier batting aggregates - in 2008-09 with 863 runs at 50.76 and 2010-11 with 785 at 46.18 - and played in the Demons' 2009-10 and 2012-13 premierships, captaining the latter.
Originally from Carey Grammar, Kent was a graduate of the Victorian Under 17s and Under 19s. He scored 255* against NSW U17s in Hobart in 1997-98, before later representing the Victorian Institute of Sport and Australian Cricket Academy.
