In February, 1903 Stuckey assisted as East Melbourne rattled up 2/744 declared. Peter McAlister (173), Frank Laver (341), Stuckey (150*) and James Horan (45*) led the onslaught as the Students were crushed by 598 runs on the first innings. East Melbourne was the VCA ""power-house"" of the 19th century, winning 19 premierships and 19 times runners-up in the 46 seasons between 1860/61 and 1905/06.

In 51 first class matches, Stuckey scored 2413 runs @ 29.42 with 134 against South Australia at Adelaide in 1898/99 his highest innings. He was a key member of Victoria's Sheffield Shield winning teams of 1897/98 and 1898/99."
