Jack Rose was a fine all-rounder and competitor for Collingwood. He played 205 matches for the Magpies between 1950/51 and 1968/69, scoring 4545 runs @ 20.11 with 2 centuries and 27 half-centuries. His highest score was 137* against Fitzroy in 1961/62. He also took 88 wickets @ 28.81 with his leggies. He won the Magpies’ Batting Average in 1971/72, the Bowling Average in 1966/67 and the KW Stackpole Medal for Club Champion in 1965/66. In addition to coaching at Sub-District (Camberwell) and VCA (Richmond & Collingwood) level, Jack also coached a number of Victorian U19 teams during the 1980s and is also a member of the VCA 200 Club.
