Bright was an orthodox left-arm spinner and handy right-hand batsman through the 70s and 80s. His best performances at the highest level came in Packer's World Series Cricket Supertests - only Lillee took more wickets for Australia. Bright served Victorian cricket wonderfully well and, until surpassed by Dean Jones, held the record for most first class appearances for the State (114).
Bright continued to coach and play at Premier level well into the 90s and, in 2002/03, accepted the position of Bushrangers selector. |
